A late start reaps the reward...

After a great birthday hakari (feast) on Friday night with whānau and whānau whānui, we were late to bed and a bottle of red down had the face smiling – thanks sister!

Although I woke at my normal 5-6am body clock wake up time, I was slow in getting ready to go pig hunting.

Long story short, I picked up my Brazilian mate Rafa and at 10.15am we were finally hunting. To our satisfaction we were heading home at 12.30pm with a 100lb pig on board. The dogs did a great job in the end with my pup Namunamu seeing his second pig and in doing so, headed straight to the punch up with his Mum Taa and Dad Rocky and simply held on!! A great hunt all round.
